GRACE Mission Trip Day One
Hope all of you are great back in the good ole' USA. Day one was a bit long, tricky, and very, very, rainy. There has been flooding down here for the past few days. The streets of Chimaltenango were hard to maneuver as we made our way from our bumpy plane ride to our mountain hideaway. Yet God is good and has allowed us to make it and we have all had a good night sleep. Today is a bit up in the air. The places that we will be building houses we have been told are not anticipating us to arrive until Monday. That could make for a very hectic week as we and our friends from Ohio are going to be building 10 houses it seems in just 4 days. The people who are receiving the homes have to clear their land before we can build. With the rain being as it is....we are just going to have to wait and see if they are ready or not. Please pray for us to get accomplished all that God wants us to and for hearts to be changed and broken. I should be able to update daily assuming the weather is good for at least a period of time. We love you all and hope you enjoy the pictures. Make sure you scroll all the way down to the bottom to see the picture that Jeff Hudson took yesterday...quite beautiful. We love you all, Love Bro. Jim

Hello Everyone! I am praying for you each day! As you face the challenges and obstacles of each day, remember to look for where God is at work, because we know He ordained this time for you to be there. Perhaps His plans are different than were thought. Just do everything for the glory of God, and it will be so!!! Nothing is impossible with God!! Luke 1:37
hey everyone, this is anna commenting from Antgiua, Guatemala. Jim definetly made an understatement when he said it has been raining here. tomorrow will be our 2 week here, and it literalyl has POURED each day. every morning i read the newspaper and every morning there has been a picture of peoples houses being destroyed and people dying because of the rain. please keep the people of guatemala in your thoughts. see you all in one more week. pray for safe travel as the church comes home next friday and i fly back next saturday! love you all!
Hi guys, wanted to let you all know that First Southern Bapt of Hope Hull is praying for you daily. What an exciting time to be on the mission field and to know that there are lives waiting to be changed as the Holy Spirit ministers thru you.
SK we all miss you so much and my birthday just isnt the same without you here but I am so proud of you and that you are my daughter. That you are a Godly woman means more to me than any present I could get today.God Bless yall and may He raise up a hedge of protection around each of you.
Hey everyone. We love and miss all of you very much. Keep your countenances up. God will be glorified! Keep your eyes, ears and mouths ready for every opportunity. Prepare yourselves daily! Jim, Jamie, Alex, and I love you very much and miss you. Stay focused, for the Lord will use you. Love in Christ, Bonita
Just have to say hello and let you know how thankful we are that you had a safe trip down -- it was fun watching the plane on flight tracker! Now we pray that God will use you each moment and keep you close to His will. We pray that all the work can be accomplished and that many lives will be touched. Even though you have only been gone one day we miss you and we're sending special hugs to Sarah Kate (from Grandmama and Papa). God be with you!
Dear Prayer Warriors:
Please pray for Milly and her family. Her father had a major heart attack while in Arkansas Thursday. He will be having bypass surgery Monday. Milly, usually the medical team coordinator (and my translater) will be leaving Guatemala Monday. She has put Wendy in charge. Wendy knows as much English as I know Spanish...but she has been with us every trip and knows and loves the Lord and has seen Him at work.
Above all pray for the people we will be seeing. Remember it is the Holy Spirit at work and we are only the vessels carrying the water to the thirsty people.
I cannot emphasize prayer enough. It is the prayers that do the important work...we just have the fun seeing God at work.
Thank you for the prayers.
Harold
Hey gang! First Southern Baptist Church of Hope Hull, will have a special prayer time for your team this Sunday. I can't express how happy I am that you are all there allowing God to use you for His glory and that I can proudly say that you're my home church. I know Bro. Rick is praying for you constantly and Bro. Jim is focused on leading you as God has called him. Lives are going to change because of your efforts and the numbers of God's family will increase. I want to encourage you to work hard and expect God to bless you're efforts. Be ready to share your testimony and watch God move before you. My prayers are with you.
